This invigorating set of handmade shampoo and conditioner bars is designed to promote volume in otherwise lifeless hair. Using a very light oil like fractionated coconut oil helps to not weigh your hair down. Rice protein and nettle extract are known to thicken, increase volume, add moisture, shine, flexibility, and soften hair. In the conditioner, Neossance Hemisqualene and Marshmallow Root work to reduce tangles, frizziness, and increase your styling capability. A herbaceous combination of peppermint, rosemary, and bergamot essential oils provide an uplifting finishing touch to these fabulous bars.

Directions for Use: Wet hair and shampoo bar. Rub the bar either between your hands or rub bar directly on hair to work up a lather. Massage lather through hair and all over scalp. Rinse and rub the conditioner bar over your hair and scalp. (The conditioner will not foam.). Let conditioner stay on your hair for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Dry and style as you normally would.

Storage: Keep the bar out of water, as it will soften if exposed to standing water. Best kept in a holder that drains well.

Surfactants/Cleaning Agents:

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI), Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSa), Decyl Glucoside: Vegetable based surfactants which are gentle and biodegradable.


Moisturizing and Conditioning Ingredients:

Behentrimonium Methosulfate: This ingredient is a well known and safe conditioner. It is used to combine the ingredients as well as condition and detangle. While this product is made from rapeseed, it isn’t necessarily natural, but it is safe and biodegradable.

Sodium Lactate: is made by fermenting sugar and is a moisturizer (humectant) as well as acts as a bar hardener

Fractionated Coconut Oil (MCT): A light oil that is an effective emollient and moisturizer.

Volumizing Ingredients:

Burdock Root: This botanical has been used for centuries as a medicinal herb used to grow healthy hair, soothe scalp irritation, and repair scalp conditions. It contains Vitamin A the improves scalp health, tannins that aid in strengthening the core of hair which reduces hair fall and loss, and the necessary amino acids for building keratin and other essential hair proteins.

Green Tea Powder- Contains polyphenols which provide antioxidant properties and gentle exfoliation.

Kaolin Clay- A creamy white kaolin clay that provides gentle scalp exfoliation, helps to draw toxins from the skin, absorbs oils, helps to increase circulation, reduces skin irritation, and helps to reduce inflammation.

Hydrolyzed Rice- In hair care, Hydrolyzed Rice Protein is known to increase volume, moisture, shine, flexibility, and soften.

Nettle Extract- Nettle leaf has been known to promote hair growth, thicken hair, and prevent dandruff


Hair Loving Vitamins, Botanicals and Natural Additives:

Panthenol- Vitamin B provides moisturizing, protectant and healing properties and is used to help protect hair from the elements

Daikon Seed Extract: An exceptional emollient oil that is a natural alternative to silicones which are used for adding slip, absorption and adding a non-oily feel hair care products.

Spirulina- Provides an abundance of nourishing vitamins and minerals: Vitamin B12, Vitamin F (gamalinoleinske acid), natural beta-carotene, and iron

Marshmallow Root: A natural detangler which also contains mucilage which binds to the protein in hair, making the strands look thicker

Rosemary: Enhances blood circulation to the scalp to aid in healthy hair growth and nourishment.

Other Useful Ingredients:

Neossance Hemisqualene: An ECOCERT approved sustainable, naturally-derived (from sugarcane) alternative to Cyclomethicone which provides heat protection, reduces frizziness, improves elasticity, prevents breakage, strengthens the hair and allows for easier combing.

Geogard Ultra (Gluconolactone and Sodium Benzoate): A broad spectrum preservative that is ECOCERT/COSMOS-accepted and works to keep the product free of fungi, mold, and bacteria. It is gluten-free fermented food starch derived from Non-GMO corn. Gluconolactone is generally considered suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, and is non-irritating and antioxidant.

Citric Acid- pH adjuster to make sure the bar is the proper pH for your hair

Essential Oils- Not only do these make our bars smell good, but they also offer their own natural benefits.
